What We Looked for in Digital Health Tools
This session discussed the implementation of the International Patient Summary (IPS) in Brazil and the broader challenge of patient access to health data. We searched for:
Personal Health Record (PHR) platforms that promote interoperability
Tools that allow patients to access, share, and understand their health information
Secure apps supporting transparency and control over medical records
Priority was given to tools enabling longitudinal tracking and data ownership while remaining user-friendly for patients and their families
