What We Looked for in Digital Health Tools

This session explored the current landscape of electronic medical records (EMRs) and the pressing need for better interoperability across systems. Our research focused on identifying:

  • National and provincial frameworks guiding EMR integration and modernization

  • Tools and guides that support clinicians in navigating data exchange across platforms

  • Concrete examples of interoperable environments or shared care records

  • We prioritized pragmatic, actionable resources that can help decision-makers and frontline providers move from fragmented workflows toward integrated, patient-centered digital ecosystems
